Have you wanted to try yoga, but don’t know where to start? Join Travis for this 5-week series to introduce you to the basics of yoga! Start slow, ask questions, and learn the fundamentals in a fun environment. We will discuss yoga foundations and break down the most common yoga poses and their proper alignment.  You will feel supported with modifications designed for your body. Each class will build upon the next in order for you to have a meaningful understanding of yoga at the end of the series.  From there, you can dive into all the amazing classes the studio has to offer.

Please register in advance!  Bring your mat (we have a few to borrow), some water, and an open mind!  Note: We must have at least 5 people preregister to hold the workshop series.

In this workshop, we will explore the deeper, energetic aspects of yoga.  Each class begins with a short asana practice to center you for deeper discovery.  Learn about and experience a variety of pranayama (breathing) techniques that will take you beyond a physical practice of yoga.  This is a progressive series; each class builds upon the previous one.  By learning how to increase and advance your breathing capacity, you will be able to begin the practice of kumbhaka (breath retention).
